The Bottom Line

Year after year, we test drivers to see which is the best for a majority of golfers. For 2024, PING G430 MAX 10K is that driver. Our driver testing is broken down into three core categories: Accuracy, Distance and Forgiveness. PING G430 MAX 10K excels in each of these categories, especially accuracy. It is a driver head that we confidently recommend to a large portion of golfers, not excluding faster swingers.

Pros

► You want accuracy: PING G430 MAX 10K is absurdly straight. It's the best driver for accuracy. For 31% of our testing pool, PING G430 MAX 10K was the best driver for straight and playable shot percentage. This is nearly 10% better than the next best driver.

► You want consistency: Not only is the PING G430 MAX 10K accurate but it consistently ranks in the Top 10 for our distance and forgiveness scoring categories.

Cons

✖︎ You're on a budget: PING G430 MAX 10K is one of the newer drivers and retails for $599.99.

Tester Feedback

We collect tester feedback with each driver. This feedback does not count towards overall results but our job is to inform you what other golfers are saying about the golf clubs they test.

Do not let this maxed-out MOI driver head fool you. It’s DAMN GOOD. When the fastest swinging tester turns around smiling and says, “I would walk out of here right now with this driver”, you know it is special.

“I would recommend this driver to a bunch of my golfing buddies.”

“Very consistent with tight dispersion. Misses are forgiving and well-struck shots produce stellar numbers.”

“Streamlined and visually appealing.”

What is accuracy?

Accuracy evaluates if a player’s shots with each club are above or below what’s expected based on that player’s skill level. By eliminating variables in player ability, accuracy determines how well the club improves a player’s overall score.

I went and got fitted and hit every driver out there. I had a G425 for years and I loved it. I really wanted to fall in love with Cobra, Callaway or Taylormade. The G430 max 10k blew them away. It has performed on the course. Have gained 10yards and every ball is in the fairway. It is expensive but when you play 130 rounds a year they wear out over time

I didn’t see a list of all the drivers tested. To me, that is also important. Perhaps I missed it?
